The First Tee of Charlotte shall enrich the lives of the
young people in Mecklenburg County by providing essential Life-Skills training and character-education through an introduction to the game of golf at our facilities. THE FIRST TEE OF CHARLOTTE'S VISION To empower the youth of Mecklenburg County ages 9-18 through The First Tee's proven Life Skills Curriculum, while seamlessly using the great game of Golf with Mastery Driven adult, teen, and pre-teen examples.

TFTC ED speaks @ oldest Breakfast Club! The First Tee of Charlotte's fearless leader had an opportunity to speak and share information about the program and all of the kids that we support in The First Tee of Charlotte. This engagement was hosted by the oldest Breakfast Club in Charlotte, the Tuesday Morning Breakfast Forum!

TFTC Participant Raises Funds for Haiti! Marcus Borbor, participant of TFTC, acted on his own heart to help the disaster relief efforts in Haiti! Marcus, an Elementary School student, teamed up with a caring teacher and loving family to raise money to support efforts to assist Haiti after the devastating earthquake just a few days ago this January.

A/B Honor Roll Achievers 2009!! Congratulations to the high achievers in the classroom. Our A/B Honor Roll participants deserve a round of applause and will get just that when featured on The First Tee Home Office website in early February. Keep you eyes peeled for their recognition in early 2010. Until then, we are featuring them right here at home!! Check the list for your name.

TFTC participant designated TFT Scholar! The First Tee of Charlotte participant Gilbert Williams, II has been named to The First Tee Scholars class of 2010!!! Gilbert's application was selected based on a variety of factors including his academic achievements, college admissions exam scores, and community service.

"Leaders In The Clubhouse" Dinner raise $190K The First Tee of Charlotte celebrated its first annual "Leaders in the Clubhouse" with guest speaker, Author James Dodson. This inaugural fundraiser invited guests to learn more about the great work of The First Tee of Charlotte, their new facility at Revolution Park Golf Course, and meet three outstanding representatives of the program as they addressed the crowd with accounts of their experiences related to TFT's Nine Core Values.
